Garrison Grant is an advocate for mental health, sobriety, and the creator of Let’s Chat About It. Since 2017 Garrison has been sharing his personal story of how he turned “illness into wellness” to spread mental health and recovery communication.
Through the We Not I Podcast, online videos, blogs, and speaking engagements his content has reached over 100,000 individuals. Garrison’s apparel brand “Love You Bro” focuses on positive male masculinity and it being okay for “bros” to tell each other they love them.
Garrison is a Behavioral Health Specialist at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital. He has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Siena College and is a graduate student at George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health focusing on Mental Health Policy.
He is an anti-stigma grant recipient from the NYS Office of Mental Health, and has completed entrepreneurship programs with the NSF, NIH, and the Air Force Research Lab. Garrison's work has been supported by the Albany Veterans Affairs Hospital, The Albany Boys & Girls Club, RPI, Siena College, and other non-profit organizations.
When Garrison is not working he focuses on his own mental wellness as a lifelong hockey player and now a triathlete with the goal to become an Ironman. He loves cooking and lives in Nashville, TN with his girlfriend and chocolate lab.
